One-On-One Critique Mentorship
One-On-One Critique Mentorship
Mentorship includes three meetings online with ARC Living Master Artist Tina Garrett, one each month for three months. Tina will review your artwork and your process, giving you specific homework each month that will help you tackle the greatest weaknesses in your work and process. This specific and personalized mentorship is limited to eligible artists who have completed the application. This helps Tina get to know you and ensure that Tina is confident that you are ready for what she is offering through mentorship and that she is the right mentor for your needs. Applicants may be required to take a Fundamentals Course and reapply at a later date. No matter where in the world you are located, each hour-long discussion is done via Skype or Zoom. This special arrangement allows Tina to use specific tools and apps to visually demonstrate each lesson on your computer screen so you can screen shot and video record and save and reuse your lessons for your convenience. Alternatively, One day Private Lessons in person at Tina’s Studio are available for artists of all levels.
SPACE IS LIMTED. Please email artisttinagarrett@gmail.com before purchasing to ensure there is space on Tina’s calendar for you.

Critique Mentorship:
First, Critique Mentorship is not the same as a private painting lesson. In Critique Mentorship, both the artist and Tina are investing in the development of the artist’s work and work habits. Specific techniques, materials and methods are discussed and developed as Tina offers each artist customized and intimate guidance on creating or improving an overall body of work and overall increased quality in their portfolio development and their in studio process.
Because Tina wants to work with artists who are able to commit to, and invested in, their own learning and progress, this level is only sold in 3 month portions to a limited number of artists each year. Each quarter the field opens for current mentees to assess if they would like to commit to another 3 months and for new mentees to fill any open spots. This is also the time where Tina gives each mentee a review of their progress and and a recommendation to either continue or to work on their progress on their own and return to mentorship at a future date as needed.
New mentees must commit to three dates, for three months, where we will meet for one hour each time on Skype or Zoom. Spots available on through out the week, anytime between the hours of 8am and 7pm Central Standard Time. There are no refunds for missed dates for any reason. If in the unusual case that Tina cannot attend your scheduled mentorship appointment date, your date will be rescheduled and you will receive an additional free hour of mentorship to use at anytime in the future.
Your mentorship may continue for as many months as is practical and affordable to you and for as long as Tina feels she can be affective in your artistic growth. You may discontinue mentorship at anytime. There are no refunds when discontinuing and all Mentees should coordinate their Mentorship Hours with Tina to be scheduled at a time easy to commit to and keep and be prepared to do as much of the recommended work as possible. (There is no refund or rescheduling for missed appointments.)
“Working with Tina Garrett as my mentor, not only have I learned a lot in just five or six months, it’s all been so organic. She is so tuned into what level you’re at as a student, she instinctively teaches you what you need to know. Each month, Tina’s candor and direct method of mentoring specifically directs you where to go to reach the next level. I walk away from our meetings so inspired to improve.” D. Jost — California
