The Flesh Tones Interactive Video Experience on Facebook - Ongoing Event
This is the only instructional video where the teacher is there to answer your questions and critique your homework! This pre-recorded video broadcast is in an ongoing event within Tina’s Flesh Tones One Day Intensive Group on Facebook! Any artist can join at any time and watch at any time. You’ll be able to watch the entire video experience, type your questions in the comments section and Tina will answer them, no matter where you live or when you watch! Then, create and post your homework and Tina will critique it. It’s so easy. It’s almost like being in a workshop with Tina! All levels are welcome to participate.

Tina is a proud Portrait Society of America Cecelia Beaux Forum Mentor and Art of The Conference Faculty and teaches annual workshops at Village Arts of Putney, The Scottsdale Artists’ School and The Florence Studio in Florence, Italy, Rosemary & Co. Workshops in Yorkshire and various studios across the country and abroad.
Tina shares her methods for achieving a realistic flesh tones. Students learn Tina’s strategies on how to paint many types of flesh in many lighting situations. Students learn how to organize and mix an accurate color palette.
HOW IT WORKS:
Artists join Tina’s private group to view the pre-recorded broadcast,
students can ask their questions by commenting in the Facebook Group and tag Tina when they post their homework to receive critique.
Students may rewatch the video as many times as they like and Tina will be online to cheer you on and help you as you post your progress and any questions…whenever you watch, wherever you live. Students may turn in their work for critique anytime within 30 days of joining the group.

A computer, laptop, phone or, iPad with internet access AND an active Facebook account are required for watching the video and to make comments and questions as well as to post images of your homework.
Painting Supply List:
The oil painting supplies you paint with in your home studio will suffice. Tina recommends these paints but they are not required for this one day intensive:
Paint: Use whatever brand you prefer and whatever colors you prefer except DO NOT BUY STUDENT GRADE such as WINTON, student grade is terrible paint. (These three brands are reliable and affordable: Winsor & Newton, Gamblin or Rembrandt.) THIS IS THE FULL LIST OF COLOURS NORMALLY ON MY PALETTE.

Your easel
A small canvas OR a bigger canvas divided into small portions for multiple uses. Canvas appropriate for portraiture is recommended but not required. Odor free solvent (I use Gamsol by Gamblin)

Paper Towels (Scott Blue Shop Towels is what I use)
Palette knife: a small Diamond shaped head should only be about 1 inch long head or smaller.
Palette — Any LARGE, preferably glass palette is great. There are many glass palette options, cutting boards, 1/4 replacement glass, glass palettes by New Wave, **no picture frame glass please it is brittle and dangerous. You will struggle if your mixing surface is too small.
Flat razor blade for palette clean up if like me, you have a glass palette. A glass cutting board works great.
